Artist Profile

The Kawakami Library, which is the size of a bookshelf in the studio, is filled with animal encyclopedias and dinosaur encyclopedias. When he meets people, he hands them the books he is carrying as if it were a greeting, wanting to share his love of animals with everyone. At the same time, he values “freedom,” preferring a simple, slightly comical, and honest style.
