Galerie Nichido

Nichido Gallery was founded in 1928 and is the oldest gallery specializing in Western paintings in Japan. It primarily handles oil paintings, sculptures, and prints, with hundreds of both deceased and living artists represented.
In 1966, the Showakai Exhibition was launched to nurture young artists. In 2002, Nichido Contemporary Art (NCA) was established as a gallery specializing in contemporary art. Additionally, a registration committee for art works was set up with the aim of responsibly supplying artworks. The gallery also broadly collects the latest trends in the contemporary art world both domestically and internationally, and operates as a trusted partner for collectors.
