“Setouchi Art Collective” is a nexus of resonance for contemporary artists working in the Setouchi region. We collaborate closely with the local community to promote a wide range of art projects. Our initiatives, including co-hosting events with museums, creating large-scale public art, managing regional art festivals, and even facilitating gallery operations by the artists themselves, cultivate spaces where art and society intertwine deeply.

We capture and portray this region’s distinct culture and landscapes, and engage profoundly with the community during our creative process. Yet, to sustain their activities in the untrodden field of contemporary art, artists in the region face practical challenges such as fundraising and securing venues for exhibitions.
