Ube Sculpture Triennale 2027

The “UBE Sculpture Triennale” is an outdoor sculpture exhibition held on the sculpture hill within Tokiwa Park, a lush green space overlooking a vast lake. This prestigious international competition has a history of over 65 years, dating back to the “1st Exhibition of Sculpture UBE” held in 1961. In March 2024, it was recognized by Guinness World Records™ as “the longest-running outdoor sculpture competition.”

For the “UBE Sculpture Triennale 2027,” to be held in the fall of 2027, we present the outdoor sculpture project plans of 15 artists active in Japan, China, the Netherlands, and Mexico, selected from 276 entries.
