GALLERY Ichibankan began selling Karatsu ware and Arita ware in 1976 in Gofukumachi in the center of Karatsu, Saga. Our stores opened both in Momochihama, Fukuoka in 1996 and at the Cerulean Tower Tokyu Hotel in Shibuya, Tokyo in 2011. Currently, we run our main store in Karatsu and also online store. Tarouemon Nakazato XlV, Imaizumi Imaemon XIV, and Kakiemon Sakaida XV are our main artists, and in addition to them, we are proud to present the works of more than 30 renowned ceramic artists from Karatsu and Arita. Our store is located on the shopping street called "Gofuku No Enmusubi Street", permanent works are sold on the first floor and artists' solo exhibitions are regularly held on the second floor. Also “Karatsu Choko Bar” is located across the street which is a place where you can enjoy the delicious Japanese Sake and coffee from Saga with Karatsu ware.
