Gallery MORYTA opened in 1991 on Keyaki-dori, a cultural spot in Fukuoka City. Since then, the gallery has not only held exhibitions, but has also hosted a variety of events such as talk shows, live music, and performances, developing a comprehensive art form and creating a stimulating space overflowing with a sense of tension. In recent years, the gallery has been actively introducing artists such as Season Lao, Kazuki Torigoe, Shigenobu Yoshida, Susumu Takashima, and Uzo Hiramatsu, all of whom have been active in Japan and abroad. We also focus on Kyushu-Ha, an avant-garde artistic movement that emerged in the 1950s and 1960s.
