This year, the first in the commemorative series, Glen Moray will collaborate with Fukuoka’s master artist Gyoji Nomiyama (1920-2023).

■About the Artist and His Works
Gyoji Nomiyama, a leading painter in the postwar art world, continued to work energetically even after reaching the age of 100.
Nomiyama led a turbulent life, including the Pacific War, living in France for 12 years, visiting the bereaved families of art students who died in the war, and working to open the Mugonkan.
He has studios in Tokyo and Fukuoka, and in his final years (after 2022), he continued to work on canvas in Itoshima City, Fukuoka Prefecture.

The label used this time is “What will happen from now on” (2022), which he painted when he was 101 years old.
Limited edition of 130 bottles will be sold.

■About Whisky
“Glen Moray” is a Scotch whisky distillery located in the Speyside region of Scotland. From a single cask purchase of the distillery’s single malt Scotch whisky, 130 bottles were produced. True to the characteristics of Speyside malts, it offers a floral aroma with notes reminiscent of lemon candy and melon. Its well-balanced composition makes it an elegant single malt that’s enjoyable without being overwhelming.
