“AFAF AWARD powered by E.SUN BANK” will be held with the support of E.SUN BANK
Jun 10, 2025ART FAIR ASIA FUKUOKA 2025 is pleased to announce the open call for the “AFAF AWARD powered by E.SUN Bank,” an award exhibition dedicated to discovering and supporting the next generation of artists. This program is held with the support of E.SUN Bank, a Taiwanese financial institution actively engaged in biodiversity conservation and the promotion of arts and culture. Award-winning works will be exhibited in a special booth at the art fair venue.To reflect the diverse possibilities of artists, the “AFAF AWARD powered by E.SUN Bank” comprises of two categories:

AFAF AWARD：For Artists Seeking International Recognition
We support both internationally active artists and artists of the next generation with a global outlook by providing opportunities to connect with key figures in Asia, gain international recognition, and opportunities for evaluation. As a part of this initiative, we offer a “Taiwan Art Research Support Grant” to assist with overseas research and foster further growth.
| Conditions | 1. No restrictions on age or nationality. 2. Works in all media are welcome (2D, 3D, video, etc.). 3. Ability to exhibit/sell works at ART FAIR ASIA FUKUOKA 2025 (Thursday September 25th – Sunday September 28th, 2025). ※Applicants must be able to respond to purchase requests from E.SUN Bank. 4. Must be present at the venue during the exhibition period for display oversight and interaction. ※The schedule will be arranged in consultation with the organizers. 5. Must be available for setup (Tuesday September 24th) and takedown (Monday September 29th). ※All travel, transportation, and accommodation expenses are the responsibility of the artists. |
| Prizes | ♦ AFAF AWARD Prize：1 Artist Award-winning works will be selected from the shortlisted entries that pass the first screening, through a final in-person judging process held at the AFAF venue.♦ Finalists：2 Artists Award-winning works will be selected from the shortlisted entries that pass the first screening, through a final in-person judging process held at the AFAF venue.♦ E.SUN BANK Prize The winning work will be the piece purchased by E.SUN Bank, and it will be showcased at the AFAF venue. |

AFAF AWARD GATEWAY：For Artists Not Affiliated with a Commercial Gallery*
This program is intended for those who wish to pursue a professional career as an artist or expand their artistic practice. It offers a gateway to the art market while supporting the next step in their artistic journey through the opportunity to exhibit at one of Japans largest art fairs.
*Applicants whose works are already handled by a gallery may still apply, provided that representation by or affiliation with other galleries is permitted.
