Highlights of ART FAIR ASIA FUKUOKA 2024
Discover Vibrant
This year, we aim to make Fukuoka a cultural hub between Japan and the rest of Asia, and play on its strategic proximity to the continent. Around the period of the fair, Fukuoka will also host an art festival named Fukuoka Art Week, turning the city into a true art center. For three days, the fair will encourage creativity and synergy, between artists, art fans and locals alike.
FEATURE
The event will feature various exhibitions, including special booths like “Leading ASIA,” exhibiting the works of up-and-coming creators and curated by special advisor Daisuke Miyatsu; “AFAF Masters,” showcasing popular and well-established artists; and “AFAF Feature,” displaying art by both international and local artists.
PROGRAM
At the fair’s main venue, the Fukuoka Kokusai Center, acclaimed experts and speakers will delve into the current challenges faced by the Asian and Fukuokan art worlds, and discuss contemporary art from various perspectives. AFAF will also offer guided tours to add depth to your experience at AFAF2024.
SATELLITE VENUE
AFAF will also display public artworks at landmarks of the city, such as the Fukuoka Airport–Kyushu’s gateway to the rest of Asia–or the Port Tower–a symbol of the Hakata bay in Fukuoka.

AFAF 2024 tickets grant access to different experiences and services throughout Fukuoka, such as free admission to certain museums and galleries, so that visitors may enjoy the city to its fullest.
