ART FAIR ASIA FUKUOKA (AFAF) has been nurtured in Fukuoka as a bridge between Japan and Asia since its founding in 2015.

In 2026, AFAF will hold its 11th edition, taking place from October 1 (Thu) to October 4 (Sun) at Fukuoka Kokusai Center. Fukuoka has long developed as a hub of exchange with Asia, providing a foundation for us to continue sharing the appeal and dynamism of art with a wider audience.

At AFAF 2025, numerous galleries and organizations from Japan and abroad participated, and the total number of visitors over four days exceeded 15,000 — the highest attendance in the fair’s history. This milestone once again demonstrated the maturity and potential of the art
market as a whole.

For its 11th edition, AFAF will further strengthen collaborations with museums, universities, corporations, and art fairs across Kyushu and the wider Asian region, reinforcing its role as an art platform based in Fukuoka.

Within the exhibition space where carefully selected galleries from Japan and abroad gather, AFAF will present an even more diverse and dynamic composition.

Fukuoka has long embraced diversity and fostered cultural exchange. With the city’s renowned hospitality, AFAF will continue to move forward
as a platform connecting the art markets of Japan and Asia.
