Born in Fukuoka, Japan, in 1985. Graduated Fukuoka Prefectural Dazaifu High School. Dropped out of Onomichi City University Graduate School of Fine Arts. Selected for an award at TOKYO WONDER WALL 2009 (as well as 2010). Exhibited at 2010 Tokyo Wonder Site Emerging “ROOFS”. Selected for Shell Art Award 2013. Held solo and group exhibitions in Tokyo, Fukuoka, Hiroshima, Kagawa, and more. Exhibited at Art Fair Tokyo in 2014 and 2015.

1993 Received the Honorable Mention Prize at Issuikai Exhibition (won again in 1996 and 1998).
1994 B.F.A from Osaka University of Arts.
1995 Named Best New Talent in Issuikai Exhibition.
1996 M.F.A from Osaka University of Arts.
1997 Awarded the Nichido Art Foundation Prize at the 32nd Showakai Exhibition, Galerie Nichido, Tokyo, Osaka.
2000 Nominated as a member of Issuikai.
2007 Nominated as a committee member of Issuikai.
2009 Awarded the Sompo Japan Fine Art Prize at the 28th Sompo Japan Outstanding Rising Artist Exhibition, Seiji Togo Memorial Sompo Japan Nipponkoa Museum of Art, Tokyo.
2011 Completed 110 paintings for his series: Portraying the Heart of the Japanese Constitution.
2012 Published his art book: Portraying the Heart of the Japanese Constitution.
2013 Awarded the Minister of Education Award for Fine Arts in the 75th Issuikai Memorial Exhibition.
2014 Talk Show on the Constitution: Introducing Portraying the Heart of Japanese Constitution, Ethos Station, Osaka (held 10 times since 2013).
2019 Produced the movie “KAZOKUWARI” and directed the art in the movie.

Lives and works in Nara. Currently a committee member of Issuikai and Kensuikai, a member of Japan Artists Association and Nara Prefectural Artists Association.

1920 Born in Honami-mura, Kaho-gun, Fukuoka prefecture (current Iizuka city).
1942 Selected for the 20th Shunyo-kai
1943 Graduated early from Tokyo School of Fine Arts (current Tokyo University of the Arts) due to the war. Drafted into the military and sent off to Manchuria.
1948 Received the Association award at the 12th Jiyu-bijyutsu-association Exhibition, as well as an invitation to become a member.
Received the Association award at the 12th Jiyu-bijyutsu-association Exhibition.
1952 Moved to France.
1956 Became a member of Le Salon d’Automne.
1958 Received the 2nd Yasui Prize.
1964 Returned to Japan.
1968 Became an associate professor at Tokyo University of the Arts.
1978 Received the Japan Essayist Club Award for his essay “A Drawing in 400 characters”.
1981 Resigned from Tokyo University of the Arts.

2008 Completed the stained glass mural at the Tokyo metro Jingumae station titled “We will meet someday”
2011 Completed the stained glass mural at JR Hakata station titled “From Beyond the Sea”.

Born in Kurume city, Fukuoka in 1925, passed away in Fukuoka city in 2019.
Exhibited at the 1960 Venice Biennale, after which he moved to Milan Italy, where he based his atelier.
Received the Takamura Kotaro Prize, the Grand Prize at the Japan Art Awards, the Medal with Purple Ribbon awarded by the Japanese Government, and the Nishi-Nippon Cultural Award.

1925 Born in Fukuoka, Japan.
1944 Volunteered for the army while studying at Kokugakuin University.
1945 Returns home after the war.
1946 Becomes a disciple of the sculptor Chodo Tominaga and studies wood sculpting.
1952 Sets up a studio in Tokyo.
1959 Received the 2nd Takamura Kotaro Award.
1960 Participated at the 30th Venice Biennale (Venice, Italy).
Moves to Milan, Italy.
1964 Participated at the Carnagie International, held at the Carnegie Museum of Art (Pittsburgh, USA), in which he received the William Frew Memorial Prize.
