Röntgen

Started in 1991 in Omori, Tokyo as the Roentgenkunstinstitut. It supported the early years of Takashi Murakami, Kenji Yanobe, and Noi Sawaragi as curators, creating the foundation stone for the current Japanese contemporary art scene. In 2008, it proposed the essential theory of Japanese art, “KOH-JUTSU,” and for more than 10 years since then, it has been based on this concept and has been a bridge between crafts and art, as seen in the works of Haruho Mitsuda and others. Since then, for more than 10 years, based on this concept, he has been collaborating with artists such as Haruho Mitsuda, who can be seen as bridging the gap between crafts and art, and who possess both technique and theory. Currently based at “GEN-SCH-AN” designed by Isoya Yoshida in Jindaiji, Chofu City, Tokyo.
