タイ、チェンライ在住のブスイ・アジョウ（1986年生まれ）が描くペインティングは、少数民族、アカ族である彼女のバックグラウンドや日常生活と密接につながっています。
ミャンマーの遠く離れた山岳地帯で生まれたアジョウは、すぐに軍事侵攻によって家族や仲間とともにやむなくその土地から追われます。ブスイの芸術的実践はユニークな教育と家庭環境から着想を得ており、アカ族の文化や民族の歴史、伝説、風習、現代の生活を絵画や彫刻で表します。
