Leading ASIA
Following on from last year, AFAF2025 will see the launch of the “Leading Asia” booth for the fourth time. The theme is “Soaring!”
Curated by Special Advisor Miyazu Daisuke, who is well-versed in Asian contemporary art, the booth will feature a selection of up-and-coming artists from galleries and art spaces across Asia.
Cho Hyun (Gallery 2, Seoul, Jeju Island), who exhibited at the “Leading Asia” booth two years ago, has since joined a major European gallery and is currently active around the world.
This year, we will be showcasing works by Lim Yen Sam from A+ in Kuala Lumpur, who participated in the Fukuoka Asian Art Museum’s residency program in 2017, and Lee Byungchan from Art Front Gallery (Tokyo), who stunned audiences with his large-scale installation at Tochoji Temple during FaN Week in 2023.
Additionally, you can enjoy a wide variety of works by Julian Abraham Togar, who made his Indonesian art debut (solo exhibition booth) at last year’s Art Basel, and Crystal Rupa (Taiwan), a sold-out artist from Gallery OVO+nca | nichido contemporary art.
All of these artists are expected to soar into the future.
*Schedule is subject to change without notice.
