ON THE ORIGIN OF ART

ON THE ORIGIN OF ART is located on the ground floor of a glass-fronted gallery in Ginza 8-chome, Tokyo.

Since 2012, ON THE ORIGIN OF ART has hosted an annual open-call exhibition as a gateway for emerging artists, welcoming artists of all genres. The exhibition attracts more than 300 submissions each year.

As a contemporary gallery, we are committed to presenting exhibitions that inspire and resonate with visitors.

Guided by the theme “Imagination Trip,” we invite visitors on a journey through an ever-evolving sea of creativity, discovering new perspectives and sensibilities yet to be experienced. Through this vision, we support artists in their creative practice while providing opportunities to present their work.
